The Center for Market Management, Logistics and Information Technologies, of the Capital District, is a pioneer in inclusion and has certified 847 apprentices with intellectual disabilities in two training programs: warehouse assistant and logistics support assistant in events and business services.
Keyla Karina González, coordinator of the Center for Market Management, Logistics and Information Technologies, highlighted this work carried out by the Entity. “We consider ourselves winners and actors in favor of inclusion, thanks to the fact that our training center is a pioneer in training people with intellectual disabilities,” she said.
SENA has alliances with more than 40 companies in the logistics sector such as Alkosto, Cencosud, Éxito, among others, which contribute to the inclusion of the population with disabilities.

"More than 840 apprentices with intellectual disabilities were certified in auxiliary training programs."

Currently, SENA works in alliances with foundations in charge of managing apprenticeship contracts and employment links, among which are Best Buddies Colombia, Compensar, supported employment network – RECA, Disability Care Center- CADIS, and more than 40 companies in the logistics sector such as Alkosto, Cencosud, ACO Alimentos, Éxito, Doria and Woden, among others.
The SENA Capital District Training Center responds to the needs of the population with intellectual disabilities to access higher education or training for relevant and quality work, which enhances their abilities and provides them a greater opportunity for employment.
“It is important to acknowledge that there are functionally different people, but it is the barriers imposed by an inappropriate environment that generate their condition of intellectual disability,” added González.
