Find out how users benefit from this modern technological environment.
Santiago López SENA Antioquia Journalist
In the Creative District of Perpetuo Socorro, a sector known as the first Orange Development Area of the Paisa capital, the Innovation HUB of SENA was presented in the Antioquia Region. This space had an investment of 11 billion pesos, and we hope to benefit entrepreneurs, businesspeople, creators, apprentices, instructors, and the general community to present them as role models when facing the new changes of the world.
This space is made up of different environments such as technology showroom, Co-Working areas, business room, Word Skills areas, IT Business software, web technologies for the creation of applications, and a prototyping environment. It is also equipped with a kitchen for the training of gastronomy skills, and it has a terrace for activities and outreach events.
"With this modern environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, SENA demonstrates its commitment to promote these areas in the country."
With this new SENA Territory in Medellín, gaps will be closed, and innovation processes will be strengthened, which will allow us to collaboratively address challenges regarding the change of mentality and cultural transformation. The activities in the HUB implement industry 4.0 technologies such as Big Data, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Additive Printing, Rapid Prototyping, and Virtual and Augmented Reality.
It is expected that this SENA headquarters welcomes about 5,000 people a year to face the disruptive changes generated by the Fourth Industrial Revolution through training, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It is how the Entity works to promote soft skills necessary to accelerate the appropriation and application of new technologies.
