Thirty apprentices from the Guaviare, Meta, Nariño, Santander, Cundinamarca, and Boyacá will receive comprehensive professional training as Technologist in Livestock Production. They will have accommodation and meals in the coexistence center of the Mosquera Agricultural Biotechnology Center of SENA Cundinamarca.
Nelson Gómez Botero, deputy director of the Center for Agricultural Biotechnology said, “This agreement allows us to strengthen governance in each of the territories, giving these young people opportunities to continue developing productive activities in the countryside.”
On his part, Mauricio Ariza, the project coordinator for the livestock development area of Alquería, stated that “This agreement aims to strengthen the apprentices’ technical and soft skills so that when they return to their territories, they can generate great changes by maximizing and improving their farms, their animals, undertake and explore all the agricultural system alternatives to support the livestock sector.
"The Mosquera Agricultural Biotechnology Center welcomed the apprentices from the Herederos de Tradition program."
In order for the apprentices to have a full experience during their productive stage, Alquería will associate them with the producers of raw milk in the region. The same ones that sell milk to the company for their production.
Mauricio mentions: “We will guide them through the whole process, from the beginning of their training until they return to their territories or join the different fields offered by the agricultural system. We have already trained more than 200 apprentices, and many of them have even joined our company”.
