The Entity responded immediately to the educational needs of Colombians and the productive sector in the framework of the health emergency and, between October 2020 and June 2021, provided education to more than one million apprentices in graduate auxiliary programs, operator, technician, and technologist, as well as more than 5 million in complementary training in SENA programs for its graduates.
SENA’s Director of Vocational Training, Nidia Gómez, expresses “We are committed to continually improving the education of Colombians through different training programs and strategies. During the pandemic, we implemented text messages, chatbots, offline access to our virtual platforms, the delivery of data plans to instructors, and the implementation of more than 663 digital simulators to support the development of practical skills.”
"SENA trained more than 6 million Colombians to find decent, decent, stable, and formal jobs to generate entrepreneurial projects that contribute to the social and economic development of the country."
With the Double Degree program, High School students graduate with two diplomas. The first accredits them as high school graduates, and the second certifies them as technicians, which helps them enter the world of work and start their life projects. Last year, this program benefited more than 470 thousand students and more than 4 thousand articulated schools.
We encourage the digital skills of Colombians with the SENA Digital strategy, which in the last year benefited more than 58 thousand apprentices in cybersecurity, data analytics, and the internet of things, and 200 thousand Colombians in 21st century Digital citizenship, which contributes significantly to closing the digital divide in Colombia.
Listen to the benefits that our training provides, such as relevance, quality and gratuity.
