The Fourth Industrial Revolution has meant the automation of processes and the increase of productivity, which has required the creation of software, through new digital and internet technologies that optimize resources and eliminate heavy work executed by humans.
This requirement has demanded human talent with ICT profiles that face the challenges of industry 4.0, which is why the entity, since 2020, advances in Digital SENA, a 360 initiative that develops and strengthens these skills of Colombians in general, instructors, graduates, apprentices and job seekers registered in the Public Employment Agency – (APE in Spanish) of SENA.
This bet consists of two major routes and is articulated with several strategies: 25k SENA- Microsoft, SENA- AWS Educate and Fedesoft SENA Summit 2021.
Since 2020, the entity strengthens the specialized technical skills of Colombians through the Digital SENA initiative.

SENA Digital Routes
1. Digital Skills for the Software Sector: allows 120 thousand people to access training routes, which are complementary programs in cybersecurity and data analytics; bootcamps, in which technical and socio-emotional skills are acquired in artificial intelligence, internet of things, cloud computing, among other topics; and, platforms with technological allies such as Microsoft, Oracle, AWS Educate and Siemens.
2. Digital Citizenship of the XXI Century:
around 2,500,000 people can be integrated in technological processes from their performance area. It currently has four courses developed under the standardized frameworks of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development -OECD, related to information management, content creation, communication and collaboration or online experience.

225K SENA- Microsoft
In order to strengthen the profile of apprentices and graduates in Azure Platforms and Power Platforms, this strategy has four courses that allow them to become certified in these industries. By taking them, they have the possibility to access one of the 10 thousand vouchers for the certification exam that is granted to the best performing apprentices. There are 25 thousand places and the process is done in Microsoft Learn.
SENA Digital- AWS Educate
This strategy has 12 career paths and 14 mini-courses, which strengthen the skills in the cloud and cloud environments of apprentices in the teaching and productive stage, as well as instructors, who also learn how to use Amazon Web Service services at no cost. At the end of the training, they have the possibility to apply for job offers in international companies in
Fedesoft SENA Summit 2021 In partnership with Fedesoft, 90 webinars are held in software design and development, industries 4.0 and technological trends; 42 virtual technical workshops in programming languages, challenges, lectures, among others. And a Summit, which is a software meeting for about 2,000 trainees, in which experts participate and what has been done throughout the strategy is exposed.
With these actions, the entity contributes to the digital transformation that addresses the whole world and provides them with professionals with the necessary skills to face it.
