Carolina Blanco is an industrial engineer with a heart set on pastry. From a very young age, she saw her grandfather, who suffered from diabetes, yearning for the times when he could taste a good dessert of cream, vanilla, chocolate, or “Arequipe”; however, due to his condition, he could not consume these types of products.
Since then, his grandfather became her motivation and inspiration to create healthy and delicious products. So she created Atlaú, a brand that not only offers sugar-free pastries but that also offers healthy cooking classes.
Through the Emprender Fund management, this company obtained 119 million pesos and generated six formal jobs.
In Atlántico, entrepreneurship has got support for more than 1,000 million pesos.
In 2020 this enterprise benefited from the Emprender Fund’s resources. After winning a call and thus obtaining more than 119 million pesos as seed capital for the development of her company. Today her business provides six jobs and has an excellent position in the market, which has made it a recognized brand as a healthy bakery suitable for the whole family in Barranquilla.
Undoubtedly, Atalú is a great example of the management of the Emprender Fund in Atlántico, which recently announced that between 2020 and 2021, it managed resources for entrepreneurship for more than 1 billion pesos, generating 12 new and 57 potential direct jobs. Additionally, it provided support to other 153 companies that accessed various sources of financing.
