Thanks to the alliance between the Sunshine Bouquet flower company, the Colombian Foreign Ministry, and the Public Employment Agency of SENA, it was possible to connect 1,841 Venezuelan migrants, Colombian returnees, and people from the host community, who were offered new job opportunities and support with occupational guidance processes to identify barriers that could hinder access to job opportunities.
In that regard, the APE Norte de Santander performed the requalification of the profiles through a complimentary training course in the “flower cutting” program to improve the knowledge and skills of these job seekers.

"The project aimed at the vulnerable population of the APE, was recognized with the Accede award from the Public Employment Service, for carrying out labor inclusion actions."

Here you will find the information on the award that SENA received.
“This labor mobility strategy has made it possible to somehow alleviate the socio-economic conditions of the target population: Venezuelan migrants, Colombian returnees and people from the host community, solving temporarily or permanently basic needs such as housing, food, and health,” says Hernán Fuentes, director of Employment, Labor and Entrepreneurship at SENA.
This project aimed at this population and led by the APE was recognized with the Accede award from the Public Employment Service for being an entity that promotes and highlights labor inclusion actions.
Attention to vulnerable population
The entity’s route of attention to vulnerable populations allows the offer and connectivity of different services, such as job creation, training, entrepreneurship, and innovation, to reach other places and scenarios. With this national strategy, SENA has reached more than 4,600,000 apprentices with all these services identified in the most vulnerable groups in our country to connect life purposes with new job opportunities.
